About: Nerding out in the South

Hi y’all!  Yes, I really say that.  I’m from the Deep South (the one in the United States), and I’ve always been a nerd (Star Wars, Star Trek, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, etc.).  In March 2014 I finally decided to give Doctor Who a try, starting at the beginning of New Who.  By the end of “Rose,” I was pretty much a hard-core Whovian; I got through the first three Series 1 episodes that evening.  Then I binged through ALL of New Who (with a family and a job!) over the next few months so that I could get done before “Deep Breath” in August 2014.  I watched “The Time of the Doctor” the morning of the “Deep Breath” release, because I like to take things down to the wire.  Nine years in five months.  Honestly, I’m still not sure how I did that.

Now I’m catching up from the beginning.  REALLY the beginning: “An Unearthly Child.”  I don’t know if you can call these posts “reviews”–more like random, real-time, stream-of-consciousness ramblings.  But I’m putting them out there in case someone else out there might enjoy them!  So enjoy!  Or move along if you don’t; not a problem.
